Beauty in a jar, it seems we'll spend hundreds to get the look we desire. But who knew that it could be free, if only we looked at it from a different view. I wanted my girl friends to feel beautiful in there own skin. I didn't want to buy them something that was going to cover up how lovely they looked naturally.
Worst yet I didn't want to get them something they didn't like, I don't know there beauty routines. So I made them my own version of "beauty in a jar". I'll go online and through magazines and books and gather up home-made beauty recipes. So I took these recipes, put them on little pieces of paper, folded them up all nice and neat. Then put them in a jar, with a golden lid.
This gift was $0 to make, completely free and thoughtful. All I did was save up food jars and paint the lids gold. The jars can then later be used to hold left over face-mask, or other little beauty secrets.
I'll share one of the face masks recipes with you.
Blueberry and Cucumber Detox Mask
-1Tb crushed ripe blueberries
-1Tb lemon juice
-1Tb cucumber juice
-2Tb baking soda + water
-Combine all ingredients to a paste
-Let set on your face for 15-20 mins.
-Wash off with warm water
-Finish up with your favorite lotions or toners!
