When it comes to the "book" I try to buy things in the order I put them in. I strayed off for a little bit and recently decided to start back at page 1. If you haven't heard about the I WANT BOOK feel free to check it out -- here
The first thing on the list was a Tie Holder or Hanger which ever term you prefer. Now why would a girl want a tie holder? Well in this day and age a girl can have anythings she ways! No matter how gender bias it is. But back to the subject, I just love a good neck tie. I love how they look on guys, love how I look in them. They are professional and scream "HI IM AWESOME AND KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!" I know it some cases the person can ruin the image the tie gives them. Managers at my last job prim example.
So for my 23rd Birthday I went to the local Bed, Bath and Beyond and picked out a nice tie holder. At the moment I only owned 2 ties, a black one and a black and orange striped one. So after I picked up the hanger, I decided I needed more neck ties! So off to the thrift store me and my sister went.
When I got the ties home, I hand washed them. I had never washed a tie before, but something tells me I should have done some research. One of the ties didn't make it, the whole back came unfolded like there was no stitching to there. I'll upcycle it into something. I've seen some cool neck tie projects.
I also bought this cute coffee cup, or espresso cup... not sure. But I love it! I'm super picky about which cups I buy. I like them to look simple, classical and something you would find out of the show Mad Men, or a simplistic scandinavian magazine.
Now that I have my ties I can work on some outfits I've been dreaming to have in my closet. I actually found some snazzy black dress up shoes for guys that actually fit my tiny size 7 or 6 (changes) feet!
They kinda look like that. They were in great condition except some wear and tear on the inside, but even that was minimal. I'm trying to get that professional feminine look, but I also like that mens look alot. I don't want people to look at me and see cleavage and not take me serious or think I'm stupid. I want to look powerful and professional. I feel that's what the office look does for guys and girls. Look smart and super professional and people are going to think you have power. Just be careful with the words you say.
