Styles I’ve Tried Over the Years

Now I’m not a hair stylist, and I’m not a super girly girl. So me attempting to style my hair is a challenge! But I would be lying if I didn’t say I enjoyed the challenge. My thing is I have fine, limp, wavy/curly in different places, volume less hair. So while looking through my photos, I thought it would be cool to show you a couple styles I’ve attempted while my hair was short, mid-length, and long. And I’ll include some links along the way.

My Hair Journey

I was never raised going to the salon every couple months. That was not the family I was raised in. We would go down the street to the neighbor lady and she would cut our hair. Mostly trim it, or mom would do it. Every time we did go to a salon they would mess it up. You can guess how that left a impression on me growing up. And then I went to college! I went to one salon during that time and I asked for a short bob type hair style…… well she ended up giving me a super short cut. I didn’t hate it… but it wasn’t what I asked for. So after I graduated, and moved back home and got a job. I made my hair a priority! Stylist and Place of business will be mentioned at the end.

This was February 23rd, 2013, I typically didn’t do a lot with my hair at that time. No heat tools (what are those?) or product (How do you us that?). Pretty much just put my hair in braid to make it wavy or did nothing with it. Pretty much my hair has been free of most hair product and tools for a good part of my life. Which ended up being a good thing in the end! 

Learning about Oil Treatments

So recently I looked some things up on oiling your hair! I never really tired it because my hair can get really oily all by its self. But that was a different problem all together! So I got this oil packet from my cousins wife's baby shower and didn't really know what to do with it....
