Cookies anyone?

So last christmas I made white chocolate covered oreo's with crushed peppermint on top. It was really easy and inexpensive to make. This was my first christmas home in a long time. I had not had a job at the  time so I needed my money to go far. I went to the dollar store and bought 6 things of cookie oreo knockoff's for $5, then went to JoAnn Fabrics and bought melting white chocolate chips for $1 a bag so I got 4, and then 2 bags of peppermints around $1.

So in all I spent = $11 US dollars
Pretty cheap for gifting around 20 people.

And I still had a thing of oreos and peppermints leftover.

The only bad thing about this was I couldn't eat them to see if they tasted good. I had to give them to my mom to try, so I trusted her judgement.

Now I swear I took pictures of making them and stuff, but I can't find them ANYWHERE! Makes me sad.. and I didn't take pictures of all the baggies I put together! What's wrong with me! So instead you get this couple pictures I found suitable for all you lovely pictures.

Ok so since I can't show all the baggies I made, I'll show the serious gift wrapping I do. All those boxes are from food packaging. I then hodge podged Ad paper to the boxes and painted a white strip over the boxes to break up the Ad paper design. Then the gold ribbon and the tags, I had all this on hand so all this was free. So yea why says christmas or any other holiday needs to be expensive. Just use your imagination!

- So did you make anything by hand for a gift? -
