Sketch Dump Sunday #7

Learned sometimes it's okay to not be perfect

Hello! and happy sunday to you all! I've been pretty busy this week, lots of things going on. I'm might have a job by tomorrow, so that's exciting. My little down stairs apt isn't has clean and organized as I would like it. But I'm working on it. Better news is that I finally have a working toilet downstairs now! WOOT! don't have to walk up those silly stairs crazy early in the morning anymore!

On another note how was everyone's Sweetest Day? I sent my going to my cousins girlfriends baby shower and my boyfriend went with his friends to a Living Dead Concert/Play thing. So sadly we didn't get any time to spend together. But I still made him a gift! That you guys will all see on Tuesday. :D I also learned an interesting fact yesterday. Some friends of mine and my sister have told me that Sweetest Day is a day where girls give boys gifts and Valentines Day is the day when boys give girls gifts. I never knew this because in school everyone pretty much got a flower from someone. Do any of you celebrate Sweetest Day? and if so, how do you go about it?

Now for the sketch talk!

Learned to see line differently
I was pretty much bored when I did this one, and a little scared. With traditional art, I see myself being pretty good when it comes to inking. So when I was in college and we had to use a tablet, I quickly learned the feeling of drawing was not the same on a computer. And that discouraged me a lot, because I drew well on paper for years and years and then to jump to the digital art world. My work looked like something a grad school child had done. And frankly that pissed me off and frustrated me. So I'm started learning to let go and relax. To not except the same things I would on pencil and paper on a computer screen. I'm learning to experiment again, sometimes it's fun and others frustrating. But I guess that's part of life.
Learned outlines don't need to be perfect
