My Review on Not Your Mothers De Ja Vu ‘Do. Style Extender

Now lets get to the review.

I don’t use a lot of hair product on my hair. I use a hair oil to help frizz and detangle and….that’s about it. My hair is fine and brittle and frizzy, curly and limp. Great combo I know. Since my hair is fine, it tends to get oily fairly quickly but I hold off till day 3 before I wash it. So I was pretty excited to try a style extender. I was a little disappointed to read on the label that they highly recommend that you blow dry your hair. I’m just being lazy at that point. I rarely ever blow dry my hair. That’s work! Can’t I just naturally look stunning? But for this testing I did it, I blew dried my hair.

I was really surprised at the smell, I really liked it. It smelled like apples, but in a perfume-y way not a natural way. I was at my aunts house when I did this so I was also using a different shampoo and conditioner. So volumizing shampoo and blow dry, plus this stuff really worked well together. My hair was very soft and I loved touching it. 

Day 1 Evening

Day 2 Morning

I didn’t wear my hair back in a hair tie like I usually do, just to test out this product. When I woke up I could feel that my hair was still soft and when few tangles where in it brushed out super easy. The air was humid that morning but my hair felt fresh and smooth. No frizz in sight. 

Day 3

My hair feel that way when it’s kinda greasy but you can still feel the hair product. Kinda like when you do when you spray a bunch of dry shampoo in your greasy looking hair. Once it’s all done it looks nice, but feels weird and then you hope no one touches your hair. … Just me? okay then… moving on. 

I also (without thinking) put my hair into a bun out of habit and so my hair was all bent weird. My hair seemed dryer and fluffier, but slick around my roots. Could feel that it was a definite “wear your hair up” day. But I also felt I could wait till day 4 to wash my hair. 

So all in all I felt this was a great product. Would be great for camping or if you go out partying. You’ll look great the next day, or at least your hair will. I’ll probably continue to use this product, just wish there was less blow drying involved.
