Thanksgiving Paint Job

Hope everyone had a amazing Thanksgiving Holiday! I know I did ^_^. I got to go home to see my family in Michigan. I haven't been home is 2 years, so it was nice to see the family, my friends, and my 2 puppies! (they're actually full grown :D) During my time at home (only 3 days) I got to paint the new sign for the family cemetery. Yes, someone in my family owns a plot of land where some family is buried. The old sign was falling apart, so my dad is making a new one and asked if I wanted to paint pine trees on it. Of course I said I would! So here it is!

White Pines!!!!!

So yea, when my dad said pine trees, I thought of Christmas trees. That was not the case though, dad wanted White Pine Trees. I've seen trees like this before, but never knew them by name. This was also my first time painting them, as I don't like painting nature. Because it is hard.....and stuff. But I can say I think this turned out well for being the first white pine I've ever painted. ^_^

My signed name in the corner!

This was an extra for my dad. :D
I thought it would be cute to paint a message on his wall. I was painting in the basement of our house. My dad had recently built a plywood wall to corner off a part of a room into a workshop for the winter months. So I thought since it's plywood and not something super fancy he wouldn't mind. And he didn't! yay me!

So there you go! An artist work is never over, not even during the holidays! I was just lucky the project was over at my parents house. :D
