Cooking Mondays #2


Today I will show you the wonders of TOFU NUGGETS! I know I know, alot of people don't like tofu or think it's tasteless. And I'm sure there's lots of negative thoughts in the minds of millions about this wonderful food. But not me, no sir! 

One of the things about tofu is that it's all how YOU cook it. That's where the tastes comes from. I like to think of tofu as a blank canvas. It's only gonna look good, if you the artist make it look good. So it's only gonna tastes good, if you the cook make it taste good. 

So take your time when you cook, enjoy yourself and actually take time to TASTE your food. 



The breading here is pretty simple. You use flour and water for the batter, no need for egg here. The breading is bread crumbs, salt and cayenne. But for these ones, I used Italian bread crumbs, because I was trying to use it up. 


Then you fry it up! Be careful not to get splashed! And the best part about making your own nuggets is, if you want them well done. You make them well done! 


As you can see, I like my nuggets well done. 


NOM NOM TIME! Take a bite! And remember you can always change the seasoning to your liking. When I made these, I was making lunch for my boyfriend and I, we got 12 each....we couldn't finish them. Now if that isn't a filling lunch I don't know what is!

Rich in Calcium, Protein and Iron
Very low in Saturated Fats 
Very low in Cholesterol
Low amount of sodium
