Secret Santa!

Happy Thursday!

So over the holidays I got to take part in my very first Secret Santa! It was sooo exciting! We didn't just exchange 1 gift, no we exchanged 3!!! And we had a Christmas potluck to! This job is certainly different from the others I have worked. So for my secret santa, I got a young lady who just like me sits in front of big windows looking outside. It's a nice view, but goodness is it cold. So knowing that, and the fact that she didn't want anything for the clues she put down with her name (little misunderstandings happen, and lucky me for having a little birdie tell me). I went with the theme of warm! I upcycyled a salsa jar, and a cardboard box once used for hot chocolate packs. I had most of the gifts in the house, so I didn't really spend much money. Even tho there were limits for the money spent on each gift, it looks like I went over because I had stuff to give. And giving doesn't cost a dime.

So I know her desk is as small as mine, so I felt using this jar would come in handy with things like pencils, pens and other small things. The candy was from christmas cookies I made (you'll see those later), the tea, from my portfolio show in college (I had one giveaway cup left over), and the hot chocolate was in our cabinet. Parents weren't gonna drink that right?....

For wrapping it I used tissue paper, only because I have a gross amount of it. I also used yarn, ribbon, and string, also because I have all that stuff lying around the house. I made the tags out of a paper bag! I was so happy to finally find uses for all the stuff I hoard.

At the end we had to tell everyone who there secret santa was, she told me she thought my wrapping ideas where creative. So I'm really happy she liked her gifts! I got a candle, chocolate, pen, paper, and small stuffed animal and cute little riddles with each gift. It was even funnier because my secret santa was someone I knew and she sat right behind me! So she got to see me geek out and be all excited and show her what she got me. lol

Did you have a Secret Santa? If so, What did you get?
