Favors and Christmas Spirit

Christmas is on it's way, and for me the whole month of December is filled with selfless acts and thoughts of giving. I did a favor for my neighbor, someone in his family has a "red neck" cottage so he thought it would be funny to display that persons first knife. With such pride that one might do with a deer head or fish. So I helped out and soon I'll be working on another project for my grandma. But that's part of her gift from my family.
Other things I do within the December, I will not buy anything for myself. Unless it's needed, like food, or hygienic stuff. It's like a challenge for me, and I feel grateful for everything that I have. Also reminds me that my wants are not my needs. I'm lucky just to have what I do.

I've given 2 of my old coats to a soup kitchen, donated things to a care packet thing for the military, donated 5 dollars to another charity (but I got to wear jeans to work for that).

I'm also working my first full time job, so I'm really happy I finally had the money to spoil the people that have spoiled me all my life. I got to give back and it felt great. I even had the money to spoil all my boyfriends friends and family. They've been around so long they feel like an extension, and I wanted to show them how grateful I am to have them in my life.

Things Happening at the Moment

Finishing up all the gift bags for the guys
Vegan cookies for the Pot Luck at work are done
Done buying the rest of the gifts for the secret santa, just have to wrap them.
Recovering from a recent car accident (everyones okay, no worries)
Moving gifts under the tree, just one more to go!
Working on removing the thousands of glow in the dark stars from my ceiling (got any tips for that?)

How about you? What are you all up to?

  1. I remember my first christmas when I got my first job -it was so nice having money to spend on others and get them special things.

And awesome job on that sign! I'm sure your neighbors relative will love it.

    1. He loved it! I can't wait to see how excited they are when I give them the cookies I made! They are the sweetest older couple ever! They drive me to work when I can't get a ride. I really wanted to repay them!
