First I layed it out, so that I would know how big of a piece to cut. I traced the size of the picture I was going to be using. Then brought that measurement in a little, and then started placing pieces around it.
After I but the frame out, I noticed I didn't have anything for the picture to rest on in the back. So I fashioned these small pieces from foam core to do the trick.
I painted the frame a grayish blue, just some dark paint I had lying around. Then I used a hot glue gun to put the pieces down, but be careful. Some of my pieces melted a little. I then put 3 coats of gloss gel over the keys. Just for extra extra hold and to add a nice shine.
I then wanted to be super awesome, and went online to find love quotes. I prefer to use news paper and any paper of that source to wrap gifts. It's free and I can design whatever I want on it. Which I feel tells the receiver of the gift that I care and put thought into what I'm gifting them.
I put some little last minute touches on the frame. I thought it could use some color and randomness. Then wrap it up and BAM!! you got a gift!
He loved it, by the way. :D
Hope everyone has a happy Wednesday!
