February Desk Pantry

Working at a office can be hard, eating at one can be even harder. Stuck at a desk all day in front of a computer. You can easily be tempted to snack on things that are not very healthy. Leaving you with extra weight and guilty baggage that you get to take home at the end of the day.

So for the whole month of February I kept track of things I bought and made it a POINT to try and buy only healthy and good things.....tho no one is absolutely perfect. Plus it's okay to have the occasional treat.

Now lets get to the food!

Fruit! I bought everything in the picture. Oranges and banana's are easy to keep at your desk all week, just be sure to eat them all before the weekend; or just take them home. The berries I made small serving sizes of fruit salad and just brought one to work everyday. I added kiwis and strawberries to that. Made for a great 10AM snack or a 2PM pick me up.

I got 3 different kinds of these, but I can't remember really well. I just know I didn't get the green one with spinach in it... or it might of been kale. I'm not sure, all I know is last time I got a "green" type of smooth drink thing that didn't have apples in it, it was the MOST DISGUSTING thing I have ever had. But the ones I got were pretty good. I had these for my breakfast, and surprisingly they filled me up for a while. But you should drink them while they are cold, they are thick and awkward when they are warm.

These are sooooooo good!!! They taste like mini reese's  cups! You could probably put it in plain yogurt or even milk of any kind, or top a parfait. But I didn't have any of that at work so I just ate them plain. THEY ARE JUST SO GOOD! I had to force myself to only eat a little everyday, or else they would of been gone in a whole day.

LOVE Love love!! This stuff tastes so good on it's own or on yogurt with or with fruit mixed in. But still pace yourself! You will and can eat a whole bag in a day. Both are perfect if your looking for a chocolate fix or if it's that time of the month and you need a chocolate fix before you
kill someone.

Larabar's come in all different flavors! And I love most of them, these are the 3 I picked for the month. Cashew Cookie is my absolute favorite, which is a surprise for me because I'm chocolate obsessed. These are great pick me ups, they fit nice in your purse, your desk, or your pocket. I would usually keep this as my treat for my 2PM snack.

These are a life saver when you are in a rush. Box is small enough to keep in your desk, and if you keep a reusable bowl in your desk. It's almost like eating at home. Takes about a minute, and fills you up. I sometimes bring some pre cut fruit to work to mix in and make it a little more healthier. Keeps me full enough until I get to my 10AM snack fix before lunch.

Since being a vegan since 2010 (that's a guess) I haven't had yogurt and when Silk came out with this, I was so happy! I could finally eat yogurt again! I would take one to work and put some of the Love Crunch in it and maybe if I remembered I would bring some fruit. Then I would make a fancy fruit parfait for breakfast! I felt so fancy and kinda normal again. I mean I know I what I signed up for being a vegan, but it felt good to get the comfort back that you get from eating something you enjoyed as a child.

This was my treat, Girl Scout Thin Mints are now vegan! And that made me super happy, as I used to be a girl scout and I sold them in front stores and door to door (back when it was safe). So I was excited to try these out. They tasted great, just as I remember! But my stomach did not take well to it. I'm not sure why, but my stomach was so mad at me. I will not be buying these again. Because even tho they are vegan, something was off.

So there you have it! Now when I keep things at my desk it's usually for snacks or breakfast. Tho somethings for breakfast are kept at home, but are easy to grab on the fly. I hope these reviews are helpful to anyone trying to eat a bit more healthily at the office.
