ScandalEyes Mascara by Kate Moss Review

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. 

Now lets get to the review.

Influenster sent me 004 Eye Rock Jet Black. Now before I get into the review, I’ll give you some background on my make-up preferences. I do not like “spider leg” lashes, I do not in anyway like heavy looking eye lashes. I prefer a more natural lash look. With that being said I’m currently using e.l.f 3-in-1 Mascara, so I could compare.

I did try to take pictures to compare, but it didn’t work out. I also felt the pictures didn’t show what I’m about to review very well. So I’ll do my best to explain. 

I was very excited to try this out because my e.l.f. one was getting to it’s end and I would need a new one. Perfect Timing!The first thing I noticed was the bristly brush and how big and thick it was. I first thought that was good because more would get on my lashes. I was extremely disappointed, I thought it would brush through my lashes…like a brush through hair. I was mistaken. It just kinda laid on this thick layer of black that made my lashes clump together. I brushed it on my lashes a couple more times to unclump them and try to even things out. But it just made it worse, if I did it very lightly I might of stood a better chance. 

After I was done with the mascara, I had to get my eyebrow brush and go over my lashes again. Just to get my lashes apart and evened out. But even then I had to be careful because it would flake all over the place and smudge. So after all that, then it was okay. I could stand my lashes after that whole process. But then when I showed my boyfriend and asked him what he thought, he even said my lashes looked clumpy. He wasn’t even home to see me go through that whole declump process.

I then later found out this mascara isn’t water proof. Now I’m don’t usually even buy water proof mascara, mostly because even if they weren’t water proof they didn’t run at the slightest touch of moisture. My e.l.f  one isn’t water proof and never runs until I wash my face. This scandaleye mascara started getting into my eyes after I took a hour walk and worked up a light sweat. Then when my eyes started to water, the mascara got all over the edge of my eyes. 

They only nice thing I can say is the pigment was great, I wish my e.l.f mascara had pigment like this on did. 

I just learned the name of the brush for this mascara is called “Broken Heart Brush”, how appropriate. It just broke mine. 

I would only recommend you use this if you have NO OTHER CHOICE.
